{"id":1479,"date":"2017-06-02T11:16:45","date_gmt":"2017-06-02T18:16:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ussherpress.com\/blog\/?p=1479"},"modified":"2023-12-09T15:02:54","modified_gmt":"2023-12-09T23:02:54","slug":"how-to-get-lenovo-u2l-100p-y1-asix-ax88772b-usb-2-0-ethernet-adapter-driver-working-on-macos-sierra-10-12-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ussherpress.com\/blog\/?p=1479","title":{"rendered":"How to get Lenovo U2L 100P-Y1 (ASIX AX88772B) USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter Driver working on macOS Sierra 10.12.5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have one of these USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapters plugged into a 2017 MacBook Pro 15&#8243; (the one with <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.apple.com\/macos\/touch-bar\/\">the absolutely useless Touch Bar<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ussherpress.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=1480\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1480\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1480 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ussherpress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_2767-e1702162944923.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a>I&#8217;m putting this post up to let you know it&#8217;s not possible, at least from my experience, to get the drivers from ASIX working.<\/p>\n<p>I downloaded the drivers from this page: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asix.com.tw\/products.php?op=pItemdetail&amp;PItemID=105;71;101\">http:\/\/www.asix.com.tw\/products.php?op=pItemdetail&amp;PItemID=105;71;101<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I ran the installer, restarted my MacBook Pro. On restart, I brought up System Preferences\/Network and the USB Ethernet adapter was nowhere to be found in the list of available network interfaces.<\/p>\n<p>If you are able to get it working, please let me know. Otherwise, don&#8217;t waste your time.
